The Hearken EMS allows your organization to easily assign the responses you receive from the public to individual members of your staff. This allows you to maintain an organized record of who is in charge of answering, implementing, or otherwise addressing the input you receive from your community. For example, if you have been collecting ideas from the public on what events they would like to see for the upcoming holiday, you may want to assign a particularly striking idea to a member of your team to carry out the programming. Or, if you requested feedback from your community on your approach to elections coverage, you may want to assign a pressing question to a staff member to answer.

To assign a member of your team, access the Responses page under Submissions in your left navigation sidebar. Choose the specific response entry you would like to assign, then click on the Edit Details feature on the top right of the Response Details page.

In editing mode, you will see that the Assigned to field is a dropdown menu of existing users on your team. Select the name of the staff member to whom you would like to assign this response.

Afterwards, users can search their display name in the Search Responses bar of the initial Responses page to retrieve all responses assigned to them.
